Boundless Plains unfolds in the Victorian gold mining town of Dahlia. Set against the landscape of outback Australia in 1967, displaying country Victoria at its finest, Dahlia has wealth for toil — but something more powerful is stirring beneath the surface. 

When townsfolk disappear, and natural phenomena ripple through the fragile community, Alice, an aspiring author, grapples with visions of a force beneath Dahlia itself — ancient, watchful, and vengeful. Caught between loyalty to her home and fear of what lies beneath it, Alice must face hard choices: about love, survival, and the cost of staying in a place that may no longer want her.
